Claire Pettifer
Product Designer, E-Commerce Administrator, Laser technician
& Architectural Model Maker / 2D CAD Designer.
With 7 years of experience as a professional CAD Designer and Product Developer, I specialize in AutoCAD and Illustrator,
and am also a trained Laser Technician and e-commerce specialist.
My career began as a Model Maker, where I spent 12 years creating scaled planning and marketing models, utilizing workshop machinery, CAD software, and interpreting architectural engineering drawings to transform both engineering and landscape plans into precise 3D models.
Over time, I transitioned into product development and marketing, doing this across the 2 companies companies, where I applied my skills with CAD & laser cutters to design, prototype, and finalize products (including implementing this into e-commerce).
My roles primarily focused on design and photo editing, to managing product listings, and administrative tasks.
My role also switches to manufacturing 2 days a week, to cover the laser department and support the productions of the products and sales. (more in resume)

My Recent Story
With 12 years of experience in Architectural Model Making and 7 years in Product Development & E-commerce, my role has evolved significantly across two companies.
I began working on Architectural Marketing & Planning Models, but my responsibilities quickly expanded. Over time, I became the Model Photographer & Image Editor, managed material and stock control, helped develop production processes, and designed, managed, and created laser-cut products for sale, when unfortunately lockdown
affected the Model industry and 360 Models closed.
With the development of an online store, I handled administration, new products, creative imagery,
custom designs, and website maintenance.
Current Role: Design & Manufacturing
My primary focus now is in Design & Manufacturing, where I work as a Laser Technician. I help manage the laser department and contribute to the design and marketing development department.
Product Design & Management
I played a key role in creating and managing multiple online stores for product sales on eBay & Etsy. Additionally, I developed and maintained a custom laser-cutting service page and launched a new sales website, www.360Lasers.co.uk.
In 2025, I transitioned to The Vanilla Valley, where I continued producing images and branding while still overseeing 360 Lasers. (All three companies are owned by Steven Golding.) Our goal was to create and sell laser-cut home décor & custom-designed products, while also assisting customers in bringing their own designs to life.
The Models: Architectural & Commercial Applications
At 360 Models, I provided CAD & Laser Cutting Services across various industries. This included creating:
-
Marketing & Planning Models
-
Exhibition Displays
-
Massing & Scaled Models
-
Interactive Models & Prototypes
For years, we have worked alongside the UK’s leading developers and engineers, delivering highly detailed, accurate three-dimensional models tailored to client specifications.
at home
I have always had a keen interest in 3D design and have recently started learning Fusion 360.
During my downtime, I enjoy a range of creative activities, with my favourites being making scaled house portraits and creating vinyl prints for t-shirts. I also love teaching others how to bring their ideas to life and develop their own creative skills.
